When discussing new media refer on how media let to the
emerge of Internet into the society. Unlike compared to other publications like
newspaper, radio and television, Internet (online) didn’t go through
instability of emergence into the modern world.
New media is a term meant to encompass the emergence of
digital, computerised, or networked information and communication technologies
in the modern world.
Most technological devices are described as "new
media" are digital, often having characteristics of being manipulated,
networkable, dense, compressible, interactive and impartial. Some examples may
be the Internet like Face book, twitter etc. manipulating a particular story or
a photo concerning a news event.
New media is all about publishing, distribution of online
stories and it increased communication between people and over the world with
Internet. In a short space of time, new media create tension on public sphere.
For an example on twitter well-known people can cause
conflict by tweeting negative text about each other”.
It came up with ideas of installing servers to store information,
CD”s to copy information and most importantly, face book, twitter, blog ,servers
etc. to communicate with people all over the world about news event that
happens in our daily lives.
