Mendy Ndala applies his skills against his Sensei-Senpai Lourenzo Lottering.

Honour, self-defence and discipline are values that Sensei-Senpai Lourenzo Lottering is instilling in his senior and junior students with martial arts.

Sensei (teacher or master) Lourenzo Lottering started African Son Dipuo karate programme in May after completing his martial arts belts as a promise to his master and former teacher N. Mazibuko who passed away.

Students practise their Uchi-Dashi martial skills at the Assemblies of God church in Mabopane.

Lottering added that his successful karate programme started as a legacy to his daughter, Dipuo Sibanyoni

Sensei Lourenzo introduced an Uchi-Dashi programme to empower and educate students from four years old and adults of any age on self-discipline through martial arts in Mabopane Block Central view.

Mabopane is plagued by harsh conditions such as drugs, alcohol abuse and theft.

Mendy Ndala, junior student of Lottering said: “I am training as part of self-defence and learning new styles from this programme.”
Lottering said: “This art is not a challenge to any karate school and I give my respect to all masters.”

His karate sessions are on Mondays to Thursdays from 17:00-18:00 and Saturdays from 08:00 to 10:00.
