Khaya's star keeps on shining

KHAYA "PK" Mthethwa, the religious singer who consistently provided the "wow" factor throughout the latest Idols SA season, looks most likely to be first to make it into the finals tonight.

Based on his impressive showing throughout the contests, 25-year-old Khaya has all but bulldozed his way into the grand finale with three blockbuster performances.

This is because he is the only contestant who has not featured in the bottom half, thanks to his smart choice of songs.
Throughout the season Khaya has received rave reviews from the judges and the voting public and has been touted as the best in this competition.
But the Durbanite has not taken anything for granted, and has continued to outstrip his previous performances each time he is on stage. The audience have been hypnotised by the "Pastor's Kid" since he burst into the limelight with his fine interpretation of the Nicki Minaj hit, Super Bass.

With time slowly ticking away it remains to be seen who will join him in the finale between Melissa Allison and Monde Msutwana. With the finale next Tuesday fast approaching, they are well aware that they have a one out of three chanceto become South Africa's next Idol and every vote counts.
Voting lines closed yesterday for the Top 3. The results will be announced tonight.
